Happy Make It Monday!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! We have made it to the fourth month of the year. Yesterday was Alex, our African Grey Bird, 22nd Birthday. He got his cake and ice cream just like he does every year. I’m pretty sure he loves the ice cream more but then again he’ll eat just about anything. Anyways, today I have an “Easter Egg Drawing.” Let’s get started…
- Canson Marker Paper
- Sharpie Ultra Fine Point Pens
- Sharpie Fine Point Pens
- Black & Decker Laser
- Faber-Castell 2H Pencil
- Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Pen
The first thing I did was practice drawing an egg with my 2H Faber-Castell pencil. It took a few tries but I finally got to where they were coming out consistently. Unless you are using a template, everyone’s egg will come out differently. In this case, I hand-drew mine so they are certainly not perfect.
For my first Easter Egg Drawing, I used my Blue Sharpie Fine Point Pen for the egg outline and what I call Seaweed Green Sharpie Ultra Fine Point Pen for my design. I couldn’t resist incorporating the ocean into at least one of my designs.
For my last Easter Egg Drawing, I used my Pink Sharpie Fine Point Pen for the outline of the egg and my Light Blue Sharpie Ultra Fine Point Pen for my design. Here, I decided on the ‘cracked’ egg look.
