The Joy of Giving

Happy Random Tuesday!

Today I wanted to share with you something I am very proud of about my family. Giving. This time of year and practically every other part of the year, my dad loves to give to those in need or maybe just wants. I’ve already told you about the turkeys and the rest of the goodies he gave out to go with them for Thanksgiving; now I’m going to tell you a little about what we do for Christmas. Let’s get started with The Joy of Giving….

The Joy of Giving

We, my dad, mom, sister, and I, had just pulled up to the Walmart closest to us at the time when one of my dad’s employees called saying he needed to get to the office as the water heater apparently had busted and the office was flooded. My dad thought it was a joke at first as we started getting out of the car only to get another call from his sister who works for him tell him to get to the office.

My mom, sister, and I had some fun back at the Walmart. We grabbed every hula hoop, basketball, soccer ball, and more, or at least as much that would fit in our SUV we had at the time.

I remember how shocked the Marines were when they saw our SUV packed with all the toys we had it filled with that year.

Despite the tragedies over the years we’ve had just in the month of November, we still manage to give because that is what makes the children as well as us happy and lets us forget the ‘bad’ things. Now that we have moved, we go to the Academy Sports for the basketballs and soccer balls. This year dad decided to add in some bicycles and children size basketball goals. Certainly can’t wait to take the toys to where they will go. Wish I could see the kiddos faces.

There you go, short and sweet for today’s post. Hope you enjoyed. Have any questions about today’s post? Please feel free to comment below and I’ll respond back as soon as possible! Thanks for visiting! Hope to see you again!
