Mind Mapping

Happy Random Tuesday!

Today is going to be short and sweet! I mentioned in a previous post about Mind Mapping, so I thought I’d share one of mine from when I was in school, since it’s starting to get close to midterms. First, I’ll share a brief history of how I got started and then I’ll talk about what class this particular was for. Let’s get started… Continue reading “Mind Mapping”

Cabbage Soup Diet

 Hello Random Tuesday!!

So, I have heard a lot of people say how gross this soup sounds; but don’t knock it til you try it, huh?! I do this Cabbage Soup Diet 2-3 times a year just to help keep my weight maintained or give me a jump-start when I’m trying to lose weight if I’ve let it go too much. This go around I started this past Sunday in hopes I would lose a few before my brother-in-law got into town with hopefully some simit from Turkey.

The first time I did this diet was in July 2004 with one of my best friends. We made the soup together at my house and did it ‘together’ during the week. Since she just lived around the block we saw each other most days. I made it through the whole week, but if I remember right, she didn’t. We mainly tried it out since I was getting ready to move down to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and she was helping me make the drive down <– it’s a 19.5 hour drive from where I live. 38 years and more…

Happy Write It Wednesday!

We’ve finally made it to the middle of the week!

Just a little more than 38 years ago my parents meet each other at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. If I remember right, my mom was a Home Economics Major at the time trying to graduate before her dad passed away. Unfortunately, he passed before graduating. She did graduate but then she also graduated in Special Education; where eventually she became a 5th Special Ed teacher at the school I also attending for Elementary and Middle school. Teavana Tea Drinker…

Hello Random Tuesday!

Tired of drinking coffee but still want that caffeine kick? I have been drinking tea most of my life thanks to my mom. Growing up we didn’t even own a coffee maker. Technically we still don’t. I personally can’t even really stand the smell of coffee.  However, tea I think I could just smell it all day! It’s sorta like my Young Living Essential Oils. I guess that makes sense since they both come from plants.

Tractive GPS

Hello, Random Tuesday

Guess what!? We made it through Monday and soon we will be on the hump of the week! Today I wanted to give my review on a device I have used for almost 6 months, as well as the backstory on why I decided to get one in the first place. Back in November 2015, I purchased a “Tractive GPS” so I could keep track of my cat Grace. I decided to do this after she didn’t come home again for a few days and I got worried. Grace was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2004, and has lived in north Louisiana, south Mississippi, and back in Louisiana. She is my ‘fur’-baby. 😛 Continue reading “Tractive GPS”
