Pom Pom USA

Happy 4th of July!!!

…and Make It Monday!!

Hope everyone has had a fun and safe weekend so far and has a great day on our day of celebration for USA Independence Day!

My family and I aren’t really doing much today.  My cousins are coming over to come swimming at my parents house with a few of their friends.  I thought this would be a cute, fun and easy project to make today on the 4th.  (Hint: Come back for when the Olympics start and you may see this project again with some add-ons 😛 ).

I purchased everything from Michael’s Craft Store (no affiliate).

IMG_1524-sThings You’ll Need:

  • Wood Letters spelling out U-S-A (about $3.99 each)
  • Wood Letter spelling out o-f (optional) (about $.079 each)
  • 1″ Red, White, and Blue packaged Pom Poms (about $2.99 each)
  • 3/4″ Silver Pom Poms (about $1.99)
  • 3/4″ Red Pom Poms (about $1.99)
  • 3/4″ Blue Pom Poms (about $1.99)
  • 3/4″ White Pom Poms (about $1.99)
  • Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue Sticks or Glue Pen

Step #1:

Lay out Red, White and Blue Pom Poms the way you want them on each letter as shown.  Careful as some of the ones I have tended to repeal each other like magnets.  As you can see on the letters ‘o’ and ‘f’ I used the small Silver Pom Poms.

Now obviously, using ‘of’ as part of this project is optional, I just thought it was cute and it’s what I always say to my brother-in-law (as well as my sister now) when they come to visit here in the US.

Step #2:

Using either the Hot Glue Gun or Glue Pen, glue each Pom Pom in their position.

Step #3:

Ha! There isn’t one! 😛 Only to enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend! Here’s what my finished project looks like.  First picture with the ‘of,’ second without the ‘of.’

Told you it was a fun and easy project.  I wanted to be sure to make it easy in case you are having a party tonight and have tons to do but would still have time to make this project.

As usual, I truly hope you enjoyed this project.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope to see you back here again.  If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me and I will try to answer as quickly as possible.
